August 23rd / 1-4pm / Ages 16+ / $50 (Solo) Bring A Pal ($46) PIZZA & ICE CREAM INCLUDED! Preserve your favorite summer moment in a wearable piece of art! In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the foundations of square stitch—a classic off-loom bead weaving technique that aligns seed beads in a clean, grid-like pattern (perfect for mini pixel art and custom motifs!). Whether you want to recreate a sunny beach day, a slice of watermelon, a campsite bonfire, or a simple abstract sunset, you'll design and stitch your own small seed bead patch and mount it into a finished pin to wear or gift. What You’ll Learn: - How to map out a mini pattern on grid paper. - Threading, tensioning, and executing the fundamental square stitch. - Adding new threads and securely weaving in ends. - Finishing off your piece onto a pin backing. Skill Level: Beginners welcomed! No prior bead weaving experience necessary but we will be working very small. *All materials provided. Bring an idea or let me help! Working over the past 8+ years with community family gatherings, kids crafting parties, and open studios, Karith shares the love of bonding through creating by using age appropriate materials, process art + product, as well as collaborative projects for all ages.
