Mini Makers: Crafting Calm

Service Description

Ages 8-10 / 9am-3pm / August 10th-14th *Ages 7 with summer birthdays welcome!* Early Bird- $450 / After April, 1st- $500 Where Art Meets Heart. Crafting Calm is a unique, collaborative summer experience designed for the thoughtful child who loves to create with purpose. I’ve teamed up with Megan of Nest Counseling to bridge the gap between emotional wellness and hands-on creativity. This camp is intentionally designed for insightful, creative kiddos who are ready to dive into big ideas and beautiful projects. Rather than a high-energy sports camp, we offer a "Creative Studio" atmosphere where self-expression and connection take center stage. Each day is centered around a meaningful theme—Self-Identity, Managing Big Feelings, Friendships, Resilience, and Confidence with crafting projects involving printing, collage, drawing, tinkering + more! What the day will look like: Drop Off: Each morning kids will be dropped off at Nimble Craft where they can leave their backpacks and lunches. The Morning (9:15-11:30am) We start with a walk over to Megan's space for group discussions and interactive games that make "big concepts" feel approachable and fun. The Midday (11:45-12:30pm) : Kids will head to the local park with Megan for fresh air, lunch, and collaborative play, letting our ideas breathe in the sunshine. This is also where we will trade off our efforts and kids will head back to the studio with me! The Afternoon (12:45-3pm): We return to the Nimble Craft studio to translate our discoveries into art. Campers will work on high-quality, curated crafts that represent their personal growth. The Grand Finale: The Gallery Wall The week culminates in a Curated Gallery Wall showcase. Families are invited to join us on Friday to view a professional display of the kids' work—a visual map of the skills, confidence, and calm they’ve built throughout the week. Crafting Calm is perfect for children who: Enjoy meaningful conversations and "getting to know" themselves and others. Are excited to engage in both group discussions and focused, independent crafting. Thrive in a supportive, kind, and creatively-driven environment. * Camps held at Nimble Craft are designed with limited spots available (8 max) to ensure your camper gets not just one on one attention but are free to create in their own way in a non-stressful environment. *Formal camper information forms are sent 2 weeks before camp begins.
