Each week blends creativity with simple therapeutic techniques like mindfulness with mandalas, coping skills with "worry monsters," and guided meditations while creating happy place collages. Give your child the gift of calm and creativity this summer! +Each class is able to be booked individually or as a plan for all 5 (with a discount) Curious as to what we will be making? Week 1: Feelings Monsters - Kids will draw or create “feelings monsters” to represent different emotions. We’ll talk about when we feel certain emotions, how all feelings are okay, and begin building emotional vocabulary. Week 2: Breathing Bracelets - We’ll make beaded bracelets and teach calming breathing techniques. The bracelets become a take-home tool for kids to use when they’re feeling anxious or overwhelmed. Week 3: Happy Place Collage - Kids will make a collage of their “happy place” using family photos, textures, scents, etc. We’ll use the collages to introduce visualization as a calming skill. Week 4: Mindful Art- We’ll do a sensory-rich art activity (like watercolor, zentangles or mandalas) and introduce mindfulness—teaching kids how to stay present and grounded. Week 5: Calming Jars - We’ll make a calming glitter/sensory jar and talk about how to calm our bodies down.
