Craft & Pour: Soy Candle Workshop

Saturday, October 10th / 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM / $25 Ages: 8+ (paired with a participating adult, no additional charge) Spend a cozy Saturday morning blending, pouring, and designing together! In this hands-on, one-hour session, pairs will learn the fundamentals of candle making using 100% natural soy wax—a clean-burning, renewable alternative to traditional paraffin. Each participant will design their own signature 8 oz. candles (x2) in a sleek matte black tin. While your soy wax cools and begins to set, dive into our studio supply bar to customize the lid—create a bespoke, hand-lettered label for gifting, or use opaque acrylic paint markers and mixed media to transform the tin into a miniature piece of art. What’s Included The Pour: Step-by-step guidance on working with clean-burning soy wax, wick centering, safe pouring, and temperature balance. Scent Selection: A curated bar of fragrance oils to sample and blend. The vessel: Two 8 oz. matte black travel tins with snug-fitting lids (one for each participant to pour and customize). Lid Customization Station: Full access to high-pigment paint markers, decorative label stock, pens, and mixed-media accents. Soy Candle Care Guide: Tips on the initial cure time, burning memory, and wick trimming to get the cleanest, longest burn at home. Workshop Details & Pick-Up Pair Registration: Each registration covers 2 adults or one child (ages 8-18) and their adult partner working side-by-side. Cooling & Pick-Up: Natural soy wax takes time to solidify safely and shouldn't be jostled while warm. A 24-48 hr pick-up or drop-off can be arranged after you are finished.
