Service Description
2-3x A Month / 7-8:30pm / Ages 18+ / Pay What You Can / You can attend whenever/whichever! Tues. Dec. 16, 7-8:30pm Jólabókaflóð Book Swap & Bookmark-Making Party Inspired by the Icelandic tradition of Jólabókaflóðið—the “Christmas Book Flood”—where people exchange books on December 24th and cozy up with hot chocolate and reading, we’ll be celebrating our own version, adapted for any holiday you celebrate! How it works: Bring a wrapped book to swap (new or gently used). On the wrapping write: the genre, a brief summary without revealing the title, and why you love it. We’ll browse the anonymous books and pick the book that intrigues us most. After the swap, we’ll make our own bookmarks—perfect as gifts or to keep for ourselves. I’ll also teach you a simple way to make a cute yarn tassel to add to your bookmark.
