Tues Dec 9, 7-9pm Cost $50 (either bring a pal or make 2 tea-vents for $80) Looking for a gift idea with a handmade personal touch for the tea lovers in your life? Are you wanting to start this new season with mindfulness and create time for reflection? Join Carlita of MyBrainOnPlans for a fun workshop where you’ll create a tea advent to celebrate 12 days of tea. In the two-hour, hands-on class, Carlita will guide you step by step to make a keepsake that can be enjoyed Dec 21 (Winter Solstice) to Jan 1 (New Year). Alternatively, you can create it as 12 mystery tea dates that can be shared with a friend or family member. This workshop is perfect for beginners and experienced crafters alike. What to expect: All materials will be provided! Carlita will have a selection of keepsake boxes and tins to store your tea-vent as well as a wide selection of caffeinated and herbal teas to choose from. You’ll decorate envelopes for each day using a plethora of crafty supplies. You’ll also choose from a mini passport journal or rating card to track your tea adventures. When you leave the workshop, your tea-vent will be ready to enjoy! Spaces are limited. Book your spot today! About Your Instructor: Hi, my name is Carlita! I’m a self-taught crafter and calligrapher. I love tea, romanticizing life with simple rituals, and journaling. I’m also a trained Neuroscientist and college professor so I love combining mindfulness with artistic practice for improved mental health. I enjoy making beautiful creations for myself and friends and I’d love to share my process with you!
